Argentina’s Brazil lane: +14.5% volume — fastest among the top five

Mendoza Post, via SECEX/OIVE, puts Brazil’s H1 wine imports at 79.4m litres (+9.1%) and €234.3m (+5.9%). Argentina is #2 on 13.5m litres (+14.5%) and €39.9m (+1.7%) — outpacing the market on speed while Chile keeps absolute lead at 39.2m litres and €2.37/L.

Same SECEX tap, different headline: Argentina’s speed.

Mendoza Post frames Brazil as one of the world’s liveliest import wine markets. H1 2026 hits 79.4 million litres (+9.1%) and €234.3 million (+5.9%), with average price easing to €2.95/L (−2.9%) as entry-tier wines weigh more. Packaged wine is the engine — about 96% of volume and 92% of value — so the fight is shelf brands, not tankers.

Chile stays #1: 39.2 million litres (+11.9%) and €92.9 million (+9.7%), adding the most absolute litres, at a softer €2.37/L. Argentina holds #2: 13.5 million litres with a +14.5% volume jump — the fastest among the top five suppliers — and €39.9 million (+1.7%). Portugal sits close third on value.

Mini-concept: absolute lead and growth rate answer different questions. Chile still owns the shelf metres; Argentina is gaining share of incremental litres faster than Brazil’s own import growth (14.5% vs 9.1%).

We already covered the Brazil-led shelf map on 7 September. This brief keeps the Mendoza Post angle: how Argentina rides the boom, not who tops the table.

Remember: Argentina +14.5% volume to Brazil H1; Chile #1 at €2.37/L; packaged ~96%.
