Burgas Fish & Wine opens tonight by the Black Sea. Entry is free
3–7 September in front of Expo Flora, Sea Garden. First night 18:00: a wine show and “In Vino Veritas.” Paella champs bound for Valencia, a fish-soup contest, fire, Boney M Experience to close.
The Black Sea gets a wine week that does not charge at the gate.
Burgas Fish and Wine Festival runs 3 to 7 September in front of Expo centre Flora, in the Sea Garden, metres from the shore. It opens today, Thursday, at 18:00. First night: a wine presentation and a public game called In Vino Veritas, plus concerts.
Friday brings local folklore and Adelina Atanasova, a Burgas kid who sings. Saturday at 17:00 Nikolai Genchev, national paella champion, demos with his teammate before they fly to the world cup in Valencia on 20 September. Sunday has the contest for Burgas’s best fish soup. Monday closes with Wolves Family fire show and Boney M Experience.
Food, drink and wine all five days. Entry is free.
A festival on the sand is not a GI fight. It is how a port town still puts a glass next to a bowl of fish and does not ask for a ticket.
Mini-concept: a free seaside week is a preference machine. People come for the soup and leave with a bottle.
A flavoured can has no Flora. These nights put wine next to the water, and nobody pays to walk in.
