Chile hosts Vinexpo Explorer for the first time, 23–26 Nov

La Tercera confirms Chile will stage Vinexpo Explorer on 23–26 November 2026 with about 50 international buyers and opinion leaders, backed by Minagri, Subrei, ProChile and Vinos de Chile. Chile is the world’s fourth bottled-wine exporter; 2025 shipped ~46 million cases / US$1.262 billion, with ~75% of national production exported.

Chile just put a date on the buyer week.

La Tercera reports that Vinexpo Explorer — Vinexposium’s travelling trade platform — will run in Chile for the first time from 23 to 26 November 2026. About fifty international buyers and opinion leaders will walk valleys, visit estates and sit business meetings. The public–private stack is Minagri, Subrei, ProChile and Vinos de Chile. Applications for Chilean wineries are open on the Vinos de Chile portal.

Previous Explorer editions lived in Vienna, Sonoma, Beaujolais, Québec, Virginia and Mendoza. Santiago’s turn is framed as export theatre, not only wine tourism — distinct from World’s 50 Best Vineyards, which also parks in the capital the same month.

The stake is scale. Chile is the world’s fourth bottled-wine exporter after France, Spain and Italy. In 2025 it shipped about 46 million cases of bottled wine worth US$1.262 billion. Roughly three-quarters of national production leaves the country, so foreign buyers are not a side show — they are the business model. ProChile’s Ignacio Fernández calls the week a trust signal; Vinos de Chile’s Julio Alonso Ducci wants the same export lift Explorer delivered in Mendoza and Beaujolais.

Mini-concept: first-time host status is a sales tool. When fifty buyers fly in with ministries and the trade board in the room, the catalogue becomes a handshake.

A soft-drink fair rarely books fifty foreign buyers for valley days. Chilean bottled wine just did.

Remember: Vinexpo Explorer Chile first time — 23–26 Nov 2026; ~50 buyers; 4th global bottled exporter; 2025 ~46M cases / US$1.262bn; ~75% production exported.
