Chile books 8th Vinexpo Explorer for November — 50+ buyers, same month as 50 Best

Government and Vinos de Chile plan the eighth Vinexpo Explorer in Chile in November, with more than 50 international buyers and press. ProChile and Vinos de Chile will match about 50 Chilean wineries. Paula Estévez cites ~60k jobs, 140 markets, fourth global exporter — same November as World’s 50 Best Vineyards in Santiago.

National Wine Day in Santiago doubled as a booking announcement.

Portal Agro Chile reports a public–private push to host the eighth Vinexpo Explorer in Chile in November. More than 50 international buyers, plus specialised press and opinion leaders, would spend a week in valleys and on winery floors. ProChile and Vinos de Chile plan a business round matching about 50 Chilean estates with visiting importers.

Undersecretary Paula Estévez framed the stake: roughly 60,000 jobs, wine in 140 markets, Chile as the world’s fourth exporter. Agriculture minister Jaime Campos tied the week to sustainable, innovation-led growth. Vinos de Chile president Alfonso Undurraga called first-time host status recognition of Chilean prestige abroad.

The same November also brings World’s 50 Best Vineyards to Santiago — image and wine tourism beside Explorer’s buyer meetings. Two calendars, one capital month.

Mini-concept: trade shows land when host countries stack diplomacy, export boards, and a second headline event so buyers justify the flight.

A soft drink fair rarely arrives with fifty foreign buyers the same month a global vineyard ranking parks in the capital. Chilean wine just booked both.

Remember: 8th Vinexpo Explorer, Nov Chile; >50 buyers; ~50 Chilean wineries matched; same month as World’s 50 Best in Santiago.
