Lollobrigida signs wine-tourism decree
Agriculture minister Francesco Lollobrigida signed the national decree that implements the CAP wine intervention for enotourism — events, visits and territory promotion. Consorzi di tutela, producer organisations and interprofessionals can apply; 2026/27 deadline is 15 December 2026.
Italy just put a stamp on wine tourism money.
Minister Francesco Lollobrigida signed the decree that turns the CAP “Pacchetto Vino” reform into national rules for promoting enotourism: events, meetings, vineyard and cellar visits, and other actions that tie wine quality to Italian places. Beneficiaries are consorzi di tutela, producer organisations and interprofessional bodies — the same networks that already tell the story in the vineyards.
Applications run through Agea with the Regions. The usual annual deadline will be 30 October; for campaign year 2026/27 the window stretches to 15 December 2026. Lollobrigida framed the move as reputation and territory growth — landscape, hospitality and tradition from north to south — and as the fruit of Italy’s push in Europe for a stronger wine sector.
Mini-concept: enotourism support is not a side show — it is how a bottle sells the place before the cork comes out.
Keep: a flavoured can never needed a consortium visit. An Italian bottle did — book the cellar door, then take one home.
Remember: Lollobrigida signed CAP wine-tourism decree; beneficiaries = consorzi / OP / interprofessionals; usual deadline 30 Oct; 2026/27 due 15 Dec 2026 via Agea + Regions.
