Invivo × SJP bottles TikTok’s Spicy Sauvy B — jalapeño in the Marlborough glass
Invivo X SJP turns the jalapeño-in-the-glass hack into a released NZ Sauvignon Blanc with chilli extracts. Co-founders Rob Cameron & Tim Lightbourne; Parker on heat-vs-wine balance. Cameron: shared pyrazines make jalapeño a natural fit with SB’s green notes. Soft launch Auckland Tacoteca + Wellington Rosie’s; US (esp. Texas) interest flagged.
The hack left the glass and entered the bottle.
Invivo Wines and Sarah Jessica Parker have released Invivo X SJP Spicy Jalapeño Sauvignon Blanc — a New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc infused with natural jalapeño and chilli extracts, translating the TikTok “Spicy Sauvy B” move of dropping fresh jalapeño into the glass. Co-founders Rob Cameron and Tim Lightbourne worked the balance with Parker, who wanted heat that never steals the wine.
Cameron’s technical hook is shared chemistry: Sauvignon Blanc and jalapeño both carry pyrazines — the green, herbaceous notes that make the pepper feel like a cousin, not a stunt. The Invivo X SJP line, running since 2019, already spans Marlborough SB, French rosé, NZ Pinot Noir and a 0% SB; the spicy SKU is the newest door. Soft pours are live at Auckland’s Tacoteca and Wellington’s Rosie’s Red-Hot Cantina, with US interest — especially Texas — flagged by the brand.
Mini-concept: a trend becomes a SKU when the winery owns the dose. Pyrazines explain the fit; the label has to own the heat so the drinker does not.
Keep: when a spicy Sauvy B appears, ask whether the chilli is a slice in the glass — or a measured extract in the bottle.
Remember: Invivo X SJP Spicy Jalapeño SB; pyrazine overlap; line since 2019; Tacoteca + Rosie’s by the glass; Texas interest flagged.
