Hirst on the Dom Pérignon box, not on a new cuvée
Kaleidoscope shields for Vintage 2018 and Rosé 2010. Selfridges listed the 75cl gift boxes at £230 and £405 from 1 October. The wines themselves are not new releases.
Dom Pérignon has put Damien Hirst on the end-of-year gift box, not on a new cuvée.
The house, inside LVMH’s Moët Hennessy, runs its historic shield through Hirst’s Kaleidoscope paintings. The emblem, it says, “does not disappear”; it “multiplies through the composition”. Deep blue marks Vintage 2018. A “warm and gentle pink” marks Rosé Vintage 2010, a nod to the Pinot Noir in the blend.
Neither wine is a new release. Vintage 2018 was unveiled in Spain in June 2026. The 2010 rosé was shown in October 2025, with Takashi Murakami, before a wider release in 2026. The new piece is the Hirst box, sold as a pair: “one solar and taut, the other more intimate and shadowed”.
Chef de cave Vincent Chaperon has described 2018 as a year with “a perfect weather trajectory”: sun, and enough water through the vine’s cycle. Early ripening in August let him aim for “more minerality, more sucrosity, more fruit and salinity”. The 2010 rosé, the house says, is “deeper and more interior”, with Pinot Noir of “uncommon density and assertion”.
A creator series from 2005 opened with Karl Lagerfeld, then Lenny Kravitz and Lady Gaga.
From 1 October, Selfridges listed the 75cl Vintage 2018 gift box at £230, and the 2010 rosé in the same format at £405.
Mini-concept: a kaleidoscope on the shield is a shop window, not a new blend.
Keep: if the box is the story, ask which vintage is in it — 2018 in blue, or 2010 in pink — before you pay the gift-box price.
Remember: Selfridges from 1 Oct 2026; Vintage 2018 at £230; Rosé 2010 at £405; 75cl gift boxes; Hirst Kaleidoscope shield; not new cuvées.
