At Sydney Royal 2026 — the show’s bicentenary year — that bottle was Pooley Wines’ 2024 Syrah from Tasmania. It took the Tucker Seabrook Best Wine of Show trophy, plus Best Red and Best Shiraz. Reports call it a first for a Tasmanian wine at this level. Chair of judges Mike De Iuliis pointed to cool-climate Shiraz as a strength of the year.
